Social media is an important part of your marketing strategy, it’s not the be all and end all for gaining client leads (and nor it should be) but having a presence online is certainly going to assist you in building trust with future clients, showcasing your abilities to the media as well as your client database and offers you a platform to communicate your design strengths and capabilities.

If you’re funnelling hours and hours on end into your Instagram account and wondering why it hasn’t lead to any major client wins just yet that doesn’t mean you should give up entirely. Social media is a long game, you don’t wind up with 100k followers overnight. You need a few simple strategies and processes in place as well as a solid understanding of who you’re communicating with (hint, it’s not your friends).

So, what can I help you with you ask? I’ve worked on social media strategies for creative businesses in the interiors industry for over five years. Each one comes to me with the same gripe “it’s too hard, I want to give up but I know I need to keep going”.
